The Twin Axle Coil Pipe Trailer comes fully equipped with all the necessary attachments for handling 2" to 6" PE pipe. It features a proprietary Pipe Straightener and Re-rounder System.
Despite being only as long as a pick-up truck, this trailer is invaluable for navigating tight city streets. It is also capable of laying high volumes of pipe quickly across the country.
The coil bay can accommodate coils up to 54" wide, with a maximum outer diameter of 128" and a minimum inner diameter of 42". This design supports various applications, including conduit, gas, water, electric, and telecom industries.
Features and Benefits:
- PE Re-rounder/Straightener: Corrects the ovality of large diameter coiled PE pipe. The straightening action eliminates the high level of stored energy in the coil, enhancing safety during handling and making it easier to fuse, even in cold temperatures. This system operates mechanically, requiring no gas engine or hydraulic maintenance. It needs no power source or special operator training and offers virtually zero maintenance.
- Coil Control System: The coil is loaded at the rear of the trailer bay. Eight aluminum crossbars slide across the trailer bay to connect the two spider wheels.
- Towing: Equipped with a 3" I.D. Pintle Eye with an adjustable bracket (12,000 lb. rating) for use with a Pintle Hitch. It includes 3/8" safety chains and 1-ton snap hooks.
- Delrin Piperollers: Made from durable material, these rollers eliminate pipe damage, unlike aluminum or steel rollers, which can gouge the pipe during dispensing.
- Green Technology: A solar-powered push-button hydraulic lift system dispenses any size coil without the need for a gas engine or external power source.
- Coil Support: Crossbars twist and lock into position to create a reel that supports the coil.
- Rear Support: Two support legs are mounted on the rear of the frame to prevent the trailer's rear from squatting during directional boring operations.
- Safety Guard: Features a quick-release rear gate with an easily accessible extension handle to prevent the coil from moving outside of the trailer frame.
- Coil Retaining System: Includes a safety clamp to secure the coil's inner end to the spider reel, ensuring it remains upright at all times.
