The McElroy TracStar® iSeries technology is now available for medium diameter pipe sizes. The TracStar 412i features the FusionGuide™ Control System, which is also used in other TracStar iSeries models. This system provides operators with three control options during the fusion process, ranging from manual control to fully automatic fusion.
Designed to butt fuse pipe sizes from 4” IPS to 12” DIPS (110mm to 340mm), the TracStar 412i is a self-contained, self-propelled, track-mounted vehicle capable of handling grades up to 30 percent. Its improved design enhances heat dissipation, and its powerful diesel engine allows it to operate on job sites where gasoline engines are not permitted.
Like other TracStar iSeries machines, the TracStar 412i is operated through the DataLogger®, McElroy’s rugged tablet that records fusion parameters and other essential data during the fusion process. The TracStar 412i’s enhanced guided workflow manages machine pressures, carriage movements, shift sequences, and more to ensure compliance with standards and successful fusion.
All necessary fusion operations, including machine pressures, carriage opening and closing, and shift sequences, are controlled using the DataLogger®.
